The national team center Šimon Puršl changes his jersey in the National Basketball League. He is heading from Svitavy to Brno, with which he signed a three-year contract. Another great reinforcement for the Brno is after another guard Viktor Půlpán, who came from Pardubice.

Puršl spent three seasons in Svitavy after returning from Zaragoza, Spain. In the unfinished league year, he helped the team to third place in the table behind Nymburk and Opava.

“It’s been a great three years for me personally. After a difficult decision, I chose to continue in another club, “said Puršl on the club’s website.

In Svitavy, the departure of a 23-year-old player who used the exit clause in the contract is regretted. “Next season we want to fight for the highest places again and Šimon was an important part of our team, now we have to get an adequate replacement for him,” said the club’s executive Martin Lepold.
